I've seen once, maybe twice, in Cosmic Alliance threads that we'll see 14 new aliens and 6 classic aliens in CA. I think I missed where that is specifically mentioned... could someone send me a link?

If this is accurate, then we already know 5 of the 6 "classic" aliens by name, assuming that FFG is not using a name of a previously-published alien for a new alien. They are: Crystal, Extortionist, Gorgon, Schizoid, and Sting.

I'll predict that the 6th "classic" alien will be Magnet, based on the theme of leveraging alliances, and some of the art speculation. If Crystal and Magnet have been re-worked in a manner similar to how Siren was, I'll be thrilled. Of course what I'd really love to see for the sixth slot is my revised Diplomat. Aristocrat may be a good guess. Skeptic would be awesome, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I think we will see a revised Witch, but not in CA, as one zany classic power (Schizoid) is enough.

What are your thoughts?

Edit: bolded Alien names.

I keep thinking (hoping) it's going to be Aristocrat, based on the rulesheet making sure we know what the "unused flare deck" is.

The aliens that we know for absolute sure are:

CLASSICS:

Gorgon
Schizoid
Sting
Crystal
Extortionist

NEW:

Animal
General
Cyborg
Pygmy
Poison
Horde

Aristocrat is definitely alluded to in the text, and I am fairly confident the flying alien on the top right of the box with the electric circuits in his back (also upper right in the rules art) is the Magnet.

It is HIGHLY unlike that only 6 classics are in Cosmic Alliance. It is far more likely to have between 9 and 11. This is especially true since so many awesome classics need publishing, which off the top of my head include Delegator, Mesmer, Berserker, Serpent, Busybody, Skeptic, Judge, Worm, Wraith, Witch.

I do not remember seeing this, was it just pure speculation?
