I am a new player, I have been drawing 2 Other World cards for each other world exploration,
Upon traveling through the gate, draw one Other World card during the other world phase.

next movement phase:move into the other side

Next other world encounters phase: draw a 2nd encounter card. move back through the gate.

I really dont think I'm doing this right. It's taking 2 turns to get through the other world and I'm drawing 2 encounter cards each time.

What is the correct way?

I follow the phases:

First:'
Phase 2 Movement: enter the Other world.
Phase 4 Other World Encounter - Draw and execute card,

The next turn.
Phase 2 Movement: Enter next "side" of Other World.
Phase 4 Other World World Encounter - Draw and execute card.

The Next Turn
Phase 2 Movement: Move to the Gate in Arkham
Phase 3 Arkham Encounter: Attempt to close (and i able seal) the gate.

If I understand correctly, the one you explained is the right way to play it

The way I play it, you don't move back to Arkham until the movement phase of the 3rd round. So it takes 3 turns to go through, but you're only in the other world for 2 encounter phases and therefore only draw 2 cards.

Note that you enter the other world gate during Phase 3 Arkham Encounter NOT during Phase 2 Movement. This isn't too important, but someone could still move to your location during their movement to trade items/money, but if you disappeared through the gate before that, than they wouldn't be able to. It could also affect some relationship cards where you both have to be in the same neighborhood for the bonus, or wrongly affect the card where one of you must be in an other world (and you would get it when you shouldn't be).
