Hi there,

I have the base game and am loving it to death. I plan on getting the expansions to grow my experience. I do have a concern, from the pictures i've seen of the expansion cards there doesn't seem to be an expansion symbol to mark them as different in the event I would want to seperate the decks from each other.

Am I wrong? Are the cards marked in some way as to make it easy to seperate them?

The new expansion coming out is not backwards compatible, so some form of sorting back and forth will need to take place in order to switch between expansion sets (previous 3 or the new one).

How easy have they made this for us?

if you read other threads on the forum you will see a post about small tick marks at the bottom of the cards long the border, which differentiate each expansion from the base set. so yes they can be divided

Thanks, I searched but nothing turned up. Guess I didn't search for the right thing.

Your answer is appreciated.

They are marked.

They have some small pegs on the bottem left side of the card.
Base game: 0 pegs
First expansion: 1 peg
2nd expansion: 2 pegs
3rd expansion: 3 pegs

Example

these two cards have no pegs in bottom left

this one has one peg = first expansion

Did that help?

Edit: to slow searching the card images

Wow, thanks for that info. When I sorted out my base game a little while back I just downloaded a card list but that was a little bit of a pain. Wish I would have known about this then .

The "ticks" are mentioned on page 2 of the rules for every RFTG expansion, with a picture showing the tick marks for that expansion.

Are 2 is only supposed to be one expansion or is that undecided / unofficial?
