It matters slightly, so Activate Raiders in Sector 4 first. Then Sector 5, then Sector 6.

Population decreases by 1 to 5.
Jump Prep track decreases to Red 1.

Raiders activate:

Raider 1 destroys Civilian F.
Population decreases by 1 to 4.
Fuel decreases by 1 to 7.
Raider 2 destroys Civilian J.
It was a decoy!
Raider 3 destroys Civilian K.
Population decreases by 2 to 2.
Raider 4, Raider 5, Raider 6 & Raider 7 MOVED to Sector 3

Raider 8 shoots an unmanned viper: 5 => HIT
Raider 9 shoots an unmanned viper: 8 => CRITICAL
Raider 10 shoots an unmanned viper: 1 => MISS

Raider 11 shoots an unmanned viper: 8 => CRITICAL
Raider 12 shoots an unmanned viper: 4 => MISS
Raider 13 shoots an unmanned viper: 6 => HIT
Raider 14 shoots an unmanned viper: 5 => HIT

No one has information on either civilian, so I'll choose randomly:
Raider 15 destroys Civilian H.
Population decreases by 1 to 1.
Morale decreases by 1 to 8.

Jump Prep track increases to Red 2.

Game State at the end of Turn 2.1 is:

(Note: Jump prep track is actually at Red 2.)

Boomer, you've gotten a hand update.

President Ellen is the Current Player, your cards have been sent.

You've probably figured it out, but just in case: Adama and Chief are evil Cylons, and are shrewdly, mercilessly prospering from a very unfortunate sequence of Crisis cards that loaded the board with raiders and civvies, sucker-punched our FTL computer, and introduced half of humanity to the inhospitable vacuum of outer space.

(I'm just glad Boomer's already a Cylon... maybe they'll still have her back?)

Yeah, there was some serious sarcasm in that statement...

movement: 4-Preventative Policy on Population.
action: 1-XO on Boomer.

Boomer, I think you have to go take on the horde in sector 6. Goodluck.

Not too long ago, a convoy of civilian vessels packed full of survivors filled the view from Boomer's window. Now there was fire and shrapnel and explosions, interrupted at times by buzzing squadrons of Cylon raiders, too-few vipers and, in the distance, the Basestars that would end them all.

'This is what it must have been like at Virgon,' Boomer thought. 'This was what they faced at the Scorpian Shipyards, at Picon, at Caprica. They're all dead...'

'So how did
we ever think we could live?'

Well, Mr. and Mrs. Tigh, here we are. Now, I don't intend to roll over just because genocide is a fait accompli, or because even the luckiest of lucky strokes could only stave off the inevitable.

Unfortunately, there's only one viper on the board, and too many raiders for me to take on. No hope there. We aren't going to survive more than a turn or two without some luck, so I'm putting myself in the best position to get lucky. I will take great pride in jumping out of here, even if we die immediately thereafter.

MOVE: FTL Control.
ACTION: Play 1 - Launch Scout, targeting the Crisis Deck. Play 3 - Strategic Planning on the roll for an automatic success. Please disregard all COs and let me see the Crisis card.

Yes, it's entirely possible that I'll bury one raider activation and Ellen will draw another, and we'll die. But that was likely anyways. This way, at least, there's the chance we'll get a non-raider jump symbol and be able to jump the fleet at the start of Tigh's turn. It's a long shot, but it's a shot.

Boomer buries the top crisis.

Unfortunately, it seems in the chaos, the President has gone and gotten herself in trouble. It may be necessary to mount a rescue mission.

Rescue Mission (A)

(Note: This is the version of this crisis with a basestar activation and jump prep.)

Admiral Adama, should the resources be spend to rescue the President? Or will she be just fine on her own?

Morale decreases by 1 to 7.
President Ellen moves to Sickbay.

Basestars activate:

Basestar 1: 8 => HIT
Basestar 2: 2 => MISS

President Ellen, will Galactica or Pegasus take the hit? Also, you are over the hand limit and need to discard a card.

Airlock is damaged.

Jump Prep track increases to Blue (-3).

President Ellen is over the hand limit and discards:
3 - Sabotage

Chief is over the hand limit and discards:
1 - Consolidate Power

Game State at the end of Turn 2.2 is:

(Note: Due to a correction in Ellen's Politically Adroit ability, the Politics deck actually had 11 cards, the Leadership deck actually had 6 cards, and the Piloting deck actually had 20 cards at the start of this turn.)

Admiral Adama, you've gotten a hand update.

Tigh is the Current Player, your cards have been sent.

I should of pointed this out before I guess but I didn't think Boomer would do what she did. There is no benefit in our current circumstance for Boomer to be at FTL. If she were in space, protecting a civvie, she could be XO'd and still have the actions available to move to FTL and hit the button. Also, anyone of us could be targeted by that same XO to go do the same action (move to FTL + hit button). It's too late now, but I just don't see why leaving the civvie's in sector 6 completely vulnerable helped us. Though, it's likely a moot point.

Yeah, I thought of that after I posted. I was too busy debating whether I should launch two scouts from Sickbay instead of moving, which, lacking hindsight, would have also been a better play. Oh well, the world is ending and Boomer thinks she's a Cylon; the girl has a lot on her mind. ;)

Note that, per the FAQ, Ellen's Adroit card draw has to come from her regular colours.

I, unfortunately, do not have any Orders to hand out. The only moves I see are moving to Communications to try to save the civvies for one more turn; I could activate my OPG on the off chance we get to jump safely and name the President the Admiral; or activate the FTL drive this turn and pray for a miracle. Any opinions?

EDIT: Apologies, I added my banner.

Activate FTL and pray for a miracle. It worked when I did it ;) We can't risk a 50/50 shot on raider activations: All three Civilian ships yet to be destroyed (two on the board, one off) are -1 Pop.

I am going to go down in history either as the jackass who lost the game for the humans in less than two turns or the hero to get us out of what may be one of the worst starts ever.

I am discarding a 1 - Launch Scout and moving to FTL Control. I'll play 5 - Strategic Planning before tempting fate and hitting the button!

That was going to be my move if you had XO'd me. Desperate times and all that; sometimes you gotta roll the hard six ;)

Best "general gaming" advice I ever heard was, when only luck will save you, make damn sure you're playing to take advantage of that luck :P
