Is there any games out there that uses invisible grids? You do not "see" the lines, but still there are lines that makes cards & stuff to be placed inside a pattern.. Does this make sense?

The Magic Labyrinth has a hidden maze although you can see the grid lines. Of course not all of the grid lines are actually walls.

TactDecks uses an invisible grid to basically function the same way as a battlemat or chess board.

I would have to politely disagree with the inclusion of Taluva and Carcassonne on this list as in both of those games tiles are not laid on a grid but in edge-to-edge contact with already placed tiles. If anyone wants to argue that this necessarily implies respectively a triple-hexagonal or square grid I'd say the edges of that grid are entirely visible.

Im not entirely sure what the OP wanted, but it sounded like games you created the board(basically). You are laying tiles in an "invisible" grid in Carcassonne. A game like Ingenious you are laying tiles in a grid on a borad where you can see the lines, which is not what the Op was asking for (I believe). In The Battle for Hill 218 the cards are layed in contact with other cards.

The Road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it joins some larger way Where many paths and errands meet.
