Lord Banner knew the threat his people were facing should the council refuse his plee. If the Galactic Senate, seated deep in the heart of the Core Worlds, didn't eradicate the outer barbarian worlds (the Senate called it "Purging the Pests"), then it would be just a matter of time before these barbarian factions destroyed themselves , squabbling over anceint feuds still left unresolved.
The council heard Banner, and agreed to finance his actions ... to move inwards system by system and capture the Senate for themselves.
Chancellor Augustus had heard rumours of Banner's plans and secretly initiated his own directive of military conquest. He planned to outdo this rival and claim the Senate for himself.
Simon, known to some as "The Fox", had eyes and ears everywhere. His spies brought back the reports of these two bitter enemies of his, planning a brave but bold gambit to move into the Core Worlds and capture the Senate for their individual factions. He decided to try and get there first.
This is a solo session I played with the three aforementioned factions . I've put together my card play turn by turn , ignoring the more interesting flare of narrative for a more static , even dull method of session report but if anyone wanted to lay out this game and follow it action by action they could ... not saying that anyone would want to or anyone should but you could and even point out any mistakes I may have played or tips on a different approach on strategy as I am still new to this game .

Lord Banner -
Worlds : 8
Core Worlds Bonus : 7 ( +1 for each tactic )
Prestige : 3
Units : 0
TOTAL : 18
Worlds : 13
Core Worlds Bonus : 11 (capital ships, cruisers and infantry)
Prestige : 0
Units : 5
TOTAL : 29
Simon the Fox -
Worlds : 17
Core Worlds Bonus : 3 ( Robots and vehicles )
Prestige : 5
Units : 1
TOTAL : 26
Even though Banner took the Galactic Senate , the sheer might of Chancelor Augustus's vast warship and military army quelled anything Banner could fight with . The Senate soon crumbled and Banner limped back to his barbarian world to face the consequences of his failed campaign. Simon the Fox was not heard from for years ( as he was so good at hiding when needed to ) . He just slipped away into the shadows.
Augustus reigned supreme this day !
I can't wait for some expansions to this game . I can see commodities becoming a bonus to some degree , maybe a planet that rewards a Hero heavy warzone , yum .... can't wait ...
Great game Andrew

Star Trek: Frontiers - June 2016
Great session report, Lee! Glad to hear you're enjoying the game. You will definitely have fun with both the Pregame Draft and with the Colonization Rules. You'll see a lot fewer Grunts and Snubs, that's for sure!
