My sister is a musical theater nerd and shee would love a game with acting in it.

Yes acting can be bluffing or pretending your not the bad guy in the resistance, negotiation.

We have curses and its amazing, you can give someone an accent that they have to keep the whole game, and the game makes you do stupid things, its basically quelf, without all the trivia, just straight up curse cards.

Do you know of any acting games.

Well, it's a Brazilian game, hard to find and very language dependent, but Cia. de Teatro is all about stage acting.

Fabula is a story-telling game that requires the players to basically "improv" a certain portion of the story every round if the leader of the group "likes" their contribution enough. You need at least 3 players for it, but it plays up to 8. Also, it may fall flat depending on everyone's ability or comfort level to make up part of a story on the spot...

That's weird. This bit used to mention Shire Games, and tell you all how wonderful we are. But it seems to have got deleted. Let's see what happens this time ....

You should definitely check out Fiasco. It's kind of a hybrid between an RPG (no GM) and an improv exercise.

Freeze is also a pretty cool improv game where the actors each have a "number" from 1-4 (1s are the "stars", 2s are "supporting actors", etc.), and then the audience has to guess. Not sure of US availability.

1) Definitely recommend Fiasco. Both a hoot and a holler.

2) Also highly recommend The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. It's a straight-up story-telling game where the ridiculous and the fantastic win the day. Embodying the character of Munchausen is too much fun.

Shakespeare: The Bard Game has a ton of acting in it, although it's only Shakespeare.

Freeze is a game literally about acting out scenes.
