Nice example mission. Hertha - Gateway to Jupiter. I highly recommend the expansion. It's very cool having Jupiter and Saturn in play.

Some corrections and comments:

The Nysa Family space is an "L-Point" not a Hohmann Intersection. You can pass through and change direction at L-Points for free. So, as you noted, upon reaching the Nysa Family L-Point, you could immediately land on Hertha (or Nysa, or Chaucer, or Polana).

You would only need to stop before landing if you wanted to use a different thruster to land (to avoid paying lander fuel if your en-route thruster has insufficient thrust - which is not the case here).

So you can go directly from the neighboring Hohmann Intersection, through the Nysa Family L-Point, and land on Hertha in one move. Similarly in the other direction: the freighter could reach the first Hohmann intersection from Hertha in one move, passing through the Nysa Family L-Point.

Need to roll size or less for success. Hertha is size 3, so dr of 4 results in a busted site.

Note that even if the site is busted, you can still do ISRU Refuel ops there, if you wanted to keep exploring. That's often better than decommissioning everything and re-boosting it from Earth.

That is correct. If you are going to build a factory, there's probably no need for ISRU Refuel ops. A Factory Refuel op will give you as much water as you want.

However, note that refueling at ET factories still requires an Operation. You don't load up with fuel at the beginning of your turn like you do in LEO. That's how I read the rules, at least.

Too many ops. ISRU Refuel is one op. Industrializing (building factory) is another op. ET Production (actually building the factory product) is yet another op.

Note that when you build a new factory, you do NOT immediately build the factory product. That's a separate op. When you first build the factory, you can flip a hand card to its black side to designate the product, but you don't build it on-site until a following turn.

Freighter doesn't need to stop on the burn spaces, so freighter can go to LEO on T35.

For instance, your freighter's return trip could have looked like this (following route purple, starting from the second Hohmann after leaving Hertha):

T32: one burn, then stop at Sol-Mars L4.
T33: one burn, stop at Luna space
T34: one burn, stopping at Earth-Luna L4
T35: one burn (HEO), then on to LEO

Exercise: get freighter back to LEO from that same starting position in only three turns. (Hint: see where you can go from Sol-Mars L4)

Quibble: After paying one WT for the refinery (T20) and 8 WT to boost (T21), you only have 5 WT remaining to use for fuel. But that's still enough to get to Hertha.

I believe that's correct. A card you decommission to build the factory - or any other card you choose to decommission - may be flipped to its black side that same turn to designate a factory product (assuming the product letter matches the site's spectral type letter, of course).

Good reason for only taking 6 tanks of fuel. Eight tanks of fuel gives wet mass modifier of -2, mod. thrust of 3, and you would need 3 steps of fuel to take off.

"Hohmann Pivots" take two burns, both for fuel usage and acceleration ("Modified Thrust") - see 6.3. So with a Mod. Thrust of 4, the furthest you could get in one turn is the second Hohmann Intersection (4 burns total). And since the next space along your route is a burn space, you have to stop at the last Hohmann - in which case, there's no point in spending burns for a Hohmann Pivot there! (since you can freely change directions at the beginning of your next turn). On the following turn you can reach LEO from there in four burns with fuel to spare.

One thing to point out for new players: Free Market operation with a black card in LEO does not send it back to the deck, like it would a white card. The black card (in LEO) is merely decommissioned to your hand. The card remains on its black side, and you can rebuild it again at the ET factory (Production Op on a future turn). (in fact, you can only build the black card from the ET factory, since it requires exotic materials, processes, etc. - you can't boost it from Earth, see 5.4)

RW interpretation: when you sell a white card from your hand, you are selling the patent rights and/or production facilities to an anonymous party, so you can no longer build it (card goes to bottom of deck). When you sell a black card from LEO, you're selling a physical space-built product - you still retain the patent rights and the means of production (your ET factory), so the card stays in your hand.
