HIDEY HO MY HUMAN FRIENDS!!!

Well it's been a super hoopy week and I've had a ton of fun, being this week's GotW. I just want to say thank you, to all of those who stopped by, to offer your congrats and by sharing in the fun time with me. It's been a really special time, that I'll never forget.

I'll be passing on this hoopy tradition and announcing our new, Hoopy Easter GotW tomorrow. That just leaves me with the answers, to my two truths and a lie. So here they are:

LIE - I once went out with a girl for over a year, before finding out that she was in the porn industry.

Thank god this was a lie. Who knows what kind of unhoopy diseases I could have brought back to my home planet.

TRUTH - When I was little I went to the home of Bobby Clarke (Ex-hockey player for the Philadelphia Flyers) and asked the man mowing the lawn if Bobby Clarke was home and explained, that I would like to get his signature. He told me that he was Bobby Clarke and I was like, "OH you look different in person". He then invited me inside and gave me a photo and signed it.

OMG, I was so embarrassed asking for the man's signature and not even recognizing him, but I was pretty young.

TRUTH - I tried to tell ya's that I have really bad luck. laugh It seems that a lot of you got this one wrong. Well it's really true.

I've had lightning come through the phone, while I was one it twice. Luckily, both times I was able to drop the phone and run like hell, as if I knew what was coming. Fried both phones, but I was safe.

Then when I was little. I was looking out of my bedroom window, when I huge ball of lightning was headed, what looked to be right towards me and the window. I quickly dove over and behind the bed, when there was a huge bang that rattled the whole house. All the electrical sockets in my room were fried, melted or shot off the wall completely. The rest of the house was fine. Go figure.

I've been in a travel trailer, that was struck twice by lightning, while I was in it. Man is that LOUD and scary!!!

I was once at the mall, when I had just got into my car, when lightning hit the car directly next to me, where I had been standing.

I've also had lightning strike a tree near me, while walking back to the car through the woods, from a fishing trip. Boy was that shocking. Literally!!! Got a nice jolt from that one, but nothing serious luckily.

I can't even count how many times, that lightning has struck my car or very damn close to it while driving.

I've also had lightning strike the ocean in front of me and it hadn't even started to rain yet.

Then there was one time, that I was walking across my yard. I didn't see this one, but must of been close, because it was very loud and made every hair on my body stand up.

I've actually come to learn, that you can smell the static in the air, either right before or after the strikes.

So there ya have it. Don't play games with me, during a lightning storm. laugh

Now that I think of it. I'll bet lightning probably had something to do, with my crash landing here on the planet Earth too. angry

Stay hoopy my friends and I hope you've all had as much fun as I have.

Boy, am I glad that you can still tell us about it, Bill!cool

The closest I have ever come to lightning was like 50 meters or so, when I was standing outside at a party in Hamburg, and lightning struck a nearby power supply line. Yep, you could smell the ozone and static. At the time it was cool, since we were all partying and a bit drunk, but come to think of it, it wasn't. We were quite lucky.

Thanks everyone. The funny thing is, that I'm not even really afraid of lightning, though you'll never catch me on the phone during a storm. Having it come through the phone on me as a kid, really put a fear into me.

I kind of figure, that if I haven't had a direct hit by now, that I probably never will. I've even been out in my boat fishing, during a nasty storm thanks to my stupid friend, who said it was just a band and was going to pass by quickly. It's funny now, but it wasn't to funny back then, when I was bailing water out of the boat with my hat. laugh

Hoopy Easter to you all.
