I look at the VERSIONS list and it mentions 2 english versions that came out in 1998. Are they just both the same? Which version do I get? What is the newest one being sold? Thanks

Just want to make sure I don't get an older version when there is already a newer one that I may not be aware of.

I'm pretty sure that the two English versions are essentially the same. One may have a multilingual rulebook or something like that, but they have the same components.

Would this 1998 be the 1st and latest ENGLISH release? The one I will be getting if ordered it in most places? Thanks

Yup, I run KGS. Hope you start go. It's a great game, but it's a game that mostly rewards playing it a lot.
