Gameplay

I used to read spoiler set lists for Magic back when I played a decade ago. "What nut would go through the trouble to list everything?"

Now, I AM that nut. Enjoy. More here.

Thomas, thanks for nut-ting.

Those large dungeon tiles look really different, one extremely open and one with a totally enclosed room. How do those doors work?

Tough as Nails on the Troll = scary.

Mortal Wound = Buys a creature one more turn. Beats cowering through a kill stroke, and can be detached like any other card if you have the means. Didn't like it at first, but I'm coming around to it.

Reckless Attack illustrates interesting potentials in CON.

Arcane Scroll is interesting, but probably just bites you in the butt if you use it

Portal Stone is terrific for people that love/hate arcane rituals and war wizards.

Grovel is just as overwhelmingly awesome as sacrifice, and even Shattered Weapon is a great counterattack in a mage-heavy warband.

Door squares are obstructions. Block LOS, not movement.

LOS of sight is blocked by any terrain marked with a square. Creatures in that terrain have cover from ranged attacks.

Those are doors on the tiles. Trees/Bushes are obstacles as well.

The terrain counts as difficult terrain as well, so the cost of moving through is 2 speed points instead of 1.

Horned Devil - Humanoid
Troll - Humanoid

Apparently being a Humanoid is not a very exclusive club? Anyhow, to these two, I can only say "Level Up" and let Hilarity ensue.

This cool concept of finding a magic item instead of the normal morale-boosting treasure could be the basis for a huge number of ideas.

Absolutely. Arcane Ritual is location dependent, Portal Stone is both location AND resource dependent. I also anticipate traps that can be triggered on creatures that go racing after treasures. Like Poison Gas, choose a treasure square anywhere on the map; creatures on or near it suffer 20 damage.

Rally - choose one ally within five squares and remove any attached order cards from that creature.

Can anyone enlighten me as to whether or not you could play this on a creature and then remove the attached order card(s) from that same creature, in other words does a creature count as its own ally within five squares?

Thanks...

My understanding is that no, a creature is not its own ally. Contrast the wording on cards like Rally and Warning Shout to cards like Shield, where "this creature or" is specified.
