Even though only one game was played till the end, I really enjoyed modding this one.

If anybody interested, I would gladly mod another PBF. You can choose to play with any expansion up to Sauron or just the base game.

Just post here if you're interested.

Yeah why not. I only have the silver line version. Don't know if that will make a difference but it would mean just the base game.

For me, I'd like to get in, even with expansions but...

1) I don't own the game
2) don't own exps
3) would check in at most once a day. Esp. on weekends, so it wouldn't be any sort of grueling paced game.

If these aren't an issue, the count me in.

IIRC, the last LotR PBF game was played with the edition before that (the non-silver line edition). IIRC, there's only 1 or 2 rules difference. Also, many of the graphics and terminology are different that you'd need to mentally translate them.... e.g.

Hobbit card → Quest card
white/gray card → white/brown cards
portraits on stands → identically shaped, colored figurines
some sort of "fork" symbol? → foot/travel

Otherwise, you're good to go.

Yeah, you should have no problems at all. Let's give it a few more days for more participants.

Thanks for your interest.

I think it's a good idea and would be interested to lurk but don't have the time to join right now.

I'd love to join in. I don't have the Silverline edition - I'm not sure what the rule changes are in that one. I do have the expansions - Friends & Foes, Sauron (which I don't like), and Battlefields. I'm happy playing with any of those.

I don't thonk there are any rule changes. I use the original one anyway. I will prepare the game today so that we can start during the weekend if everybody is still in. Three players is a good number.

Ok guys. I think we can start now.

We have three players interested in playing. I suggest we leave the sauron expansion out. This one would make more sense with more players (preferably 6).

I don't own the Battlefield expansion, so I'm dropping that one.

It's up to you whether we play with our without the Friends and Foes expansion.

You decide, I got all ready so we can start.

Only one thing I would need of you. Can you provide me with the card count? I forgot to check and with the travelling from Portugal to Northern Ireland I was unable to bring my copy with me.

Just need the card count of Hobbit/Quest (?) cards:

Friendship:
- grey
- white

Fight:
- grey
- white

Hide:
- grey
- white

Travel:
- grey
- white

Wild Cards:
- white only:

Everything else I got. If you could get me this info and decide on whether with or without expansion you want to play, we are ready do play

I'm good either with or without the Friends and Foes. However, if anyone here is new to the game, it would be better to leave Friends and Foes out.

I'll see if I can get a card count sometime this weekend. I might not get to it until late (but if I can talk the family into a game, it might happen earlier.)

I'll need a rules refresher on F&F, but in the meantime, can see if I can read up on them myself.

There is also a version with 6/6 split between the cards.

We'll play with the original 5/7.

How many players are we now? Are you in too Rauli?
