There's got to be a better way to thank your customers other then making them buy 5 copies of the same game to get a small expansion. Why don't you just SELL it?

Well, I'll say - the extension is really great, and I know a lot of people don't know about it or have access to it. I've shown Jungle Speed to a lot of players, and I'm certain that I've helped sell more than a few copies of the game. I'm thrilled to see that there is a way for others to get this relatively hard to get expansion...
I usually show the L'extension cards to new players after several games and after they've gotten the base game down pat. Whenever I show them even a small sample of the L'e cards, loud groans and exclamations are invariably heard, but most of the time people want to immediately shuffle the L'e cards into the deck and play with them. It makes the game much harder.
I was pretty lucky to have gotten a set of L'e, and when I heard (from Stephan at BGG.con) that he was going to do this, I immediately thought it was a great idea. Yes, it might be good to simply sell them, but if a player really likes this game enough to introduce (and effectively sell) 5 buyers to the game, that person will clearly be ready for L'e and the thrills it brings.
It's a reward for spreading the word - which is a good thing! Asmodee isn't saying you have to go buy five copiues - instead, they are suggesting that you could get five people to like it enough to go buy it themselves.
Word of mouth is one of the best ways to promote a game. I bought Jungle Speed simply because a friend told me he was looking for it at Origins one year.
Nobody *has* to buy L'Extension - but if you really like Jungle Speed, you'll definitely want it.

Looks like there is no way to get this game short of destoying 5 copies of Jungle Speed by cutting out the UPC code.

Is this the only way to get the expansion? Is it still available, as I notice the last post was 2006 and the link to the site said limited number of copies. Can't find it anywhere else online.

I found it at this sight:

It's from a store in Canada. I just ordered it today, so I do not vouch for the store in anyway. Just saying I found it.

I recently did this promotional for the second time, and it is still good, as far as I know. You can email Alexandra Karplus at contact@asmodee-us.com
You can see the details of the promotion here:

Don't want five copies of the game, here's what I did. The first time, a bunch of my friends were getting really excited and having fun with the game, so I made a big order and asked them all for their UPC's. The second time, I only needed three, so I ordered two extras, cut off the UPC's, and traded them here on BGG. The box is super flimsy anyway, it's not something you can trade. So I just told the people I traded to that the box would not be included. Then, I could ship the game in a medium sized envelope instead of a box, so I saved on shipping, too.
