Re: What new Wonders would you like to se in future expansions?
A few are already an official wonder to use with the game (Lighthouse, Hagia Sophia, Catan). Why would you want them in a future expansion? Of course: I know that Manneken Pis is also included again (probably with an adjustment). I'm just wondering why you would include those in the poll: should they be adjusted?

That was a error on my side. I have adjusted the poll.

Sorry for the inconvenience for the few people that already voted. I hope that the improved poll will make up for it.

ASL ... yes, this is my Desert Island Game. If I have to give up all my 3000+ games and only allowed to keep one, this would be it. This bloody game stood the test of time. Around for more than 25 years - simply the best.

I don't care for a ranking. Just give me more wonders = more variety.

Catan & Manneken Pis are nice to have, but don't really fit into the theme of the game. meeple

most of these wonders will be available this month in a fan expansion. You can find more about it here:
Need some more Wonders and other stuff ?

Anticipate at least 25 new wonders that have been playtested for the past few months.

The avarage vote after 45 votes:

1) Chichen Itza - avarage: 4,7
2) Machu Picchu - avarage: 4,6
3) Temple of Solomon - avarage: 4,2
4) Taj Mahal - avarage: 4,1
5) Moai of Eastern Island - avarage: 3,7
6) Ishtar Gates - avarage: 3,4
7) Atlantis - avarage: 3,3
8) Porcelain Pagoda of Nanjing - avarage: 3,3
9) Leaning Tower of Pisa - avarage: 3,1
10) Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - avarage: 2,9
11) Cairo Citadel - avarage: 2,8
12) Noah's Ark - avarage: 1,8

It's really hard to come with a sollid solid konklusion on the poll. I was a little surprised myself that the age and the place of the wonders had very little influence on how people voted.

Call me crazy, but I'd like to see some modern wonders. I realize this would probably bring with it a fourth era.

But Taj Mahal is a modern construction, and not from Ancient World.
I don't want to see Taj Mahal in Seven Wonders.

The Ancient Era ends around 500 AD, and Most of the Wonders I sugested was build after Ancient Time.

It would be a little bit stange if they jumped directly from Ancient Wonders to Modern Wonders like The Eiffel Tower or something skipping the Middel Ages altogether.

If they added a fourth era I thing that it should be equivalent to the Middel Ages.

I voted for Temple of Solomon as my top choice.

Dunno why Atlantis is on the list, the place has no historical backing to it at all, and most places on this list are quite modern, and don't seem to fit.

However if they DID I would go with Taj Mahal and Moai.

I put different Wonders on the list with more or less historical backing and some ancient and some more modern to see what criteria people used to determine what they considered appropriate for 7 Wonders. If I just had put very similar suggestions on the voting list there woundn't be any point in letting people vote.

There don't seem to be any correlation between what people votes for and if there is historical backing or not. Atlantis was quite popular. The same thing was true for the more mordern Wonders on the list.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa WHOA!

Being from Houston, TX, I do not see the official 8th Wonder of the World on this poll.

Surely this is an oversight.

I have been working on a fan expansion that utilizes ANCIENT (pre-fall Rome/476 AD) wonders mainly from places outside of the Greco-Roman world.

Included are 10 Wonders from the Middle East, the Orient, and the Americas.

I just wish I had a graphics guy to actually put it together, because I have the abilities already done.

P.S.: Keep in mind that Wonders like Taj Mahal, Rapa Nui, Angkor Wat and a few others on the poll are from the MEDIEVAL era, almost all of them past 1000 AD.
