Well, I found myself in a 6 player game of Illuminati this afternoon. We don't play with the bavarians, so they were removed and we took secret societies at random- I was Bermuda Triangle. On my left the Gnomes of Zurich went first and acquired the Loan Sharks. I attempted to take over a nice middle income group, but I rolled an 11. Turn over. The Servants of Cthulu went next and took over a group. Then the Network rolled an 11 as well. The other two peopole suceeded in taking groups- indeed the UFOs had 2 groups already. The Gnomes took another high income one. I played for the Phone Company, nice transferable power... I rolled a 12. Turn over. The Servants took something and destroyed something. The Network got International Cocaine Smugglers. When the Gnomes came round again, they seized International Cocaine Smugglers from the Network, by neutralising and then using a special card which gave them a free take over. I tried for the Health Food shops, as they were the least resistant and I thought people might spend against me. I rolled an 11. For those of you unfamiliar with Illuminati, this meant I was eliminated because if at any point after the end of your turn 3 you control no groups other than your start one, you die.
Everyone started tallking about how unlikely that sequence of rolls was-but I was already strolling away to find another game.

So the game was only short to you? I have been in many Nuclear War Games where a player is knocked out in the Secrets phase at the very beginning of the game. (they didn't even have to roll badly)
Then again the game can go on for quite awhile. Question:
Where you upset, did it bother you? I had the sense that you were, but it really didn't come accross.
