Hello guys,
Do you feel that Plaid Hat Games should had create more cheese tokens for M&M?
During some chapters we had to create some "home rules" in order to have
cheese tokens to keep playing.
What we did was basicaly putting 2 cheeses tokens together (one above the other) and conidering them as 6 cheese tokens. Also we uses poison token as -1 cheese tokens ans regular wound as +1

Maybe you should be spending them? How are you hoarding so many cheese tokens?

Yeah, they should throw in an extra sheet of cheese tokens with the dice when they go on sale.

We've started putting health tokens on the cheese wheel if we run short on cheese.

As for the "hoarding" question somebody else asked, we typically wait until chapter end to level up characters so we can pass cheese to the character(s) who need the next skill bump.

I seem to remember the rules specifically stating you should not place more minions than available...?

Well, it says on page 15 under "Surges"...

"If a surge requires minion figures to be placed, and there
are not enough of those figures available, place as many
as possible and ignore the rest."

I'd go with that covering any time figures are not available, unless otherwise stated.

I have been toying with the thought of turning some of the cheese tokens into a "Five Cheese" count with a sharpie. I just can't bring myself to actually mark on one of my games. That was always taboo in my house growing up.

/shudders.

Scan the cheese, photoshop a "5" onto them, laser print them, glue them onto card, then cut them out.

Just say NO to butchering the original tokens!

...I'd be happy to whip up a printable file for you if you don't have a scanner and PS at hand meeple

On the counter sheet, the cheese counters are overprinted/bled past the die cut, so you'll see a lot of cheese "graphic" left over after you punch out your counters. I just use a pair of heavy duty scissors to cut that extra into wedge shapes, doubling the number of cheese counters I have.

They're a little smaller and the cuts aren't all even, but they have cheese art on both sides.

If there are no cheese when you roll a cheese you dont get any. If you should put cheese on the cheese wheel use hearts.

I posed this query to the Plaid Hat Q&A:

"If you run out of cheese do you use proxy cheese tokens?"

The reply came back...

"Yes, if you run out of cheese, you proxy the cheese tokens"

..So it seems all parties would still get cheese, not just the cheese wheel^

Perhaps you need to buy two core sets as seems to be the trend these days.

I'm pretty sure it will be a cold day in hell before I buy a second copy of a game for more tokens. Why spend near $50 on the low side for a second copy when you can make your own super cool looking ones via baked clay and some paint?

The components in this game are great, but this makes it even more fun!

It was a joke... based on all the threads about everyone buying multiple copies of Netrunner, LoTR, Star Wars etc.

Personally I like the clay ones myself.

Back to your regular programming.

I have to agree the clay pimpage certainly adds to this already fabulous game... I've done a bit myself and just finished my cheesy comestibles.

I was asked how I'd done the cheese, so if anyone's interested, I outlined the process in my pic's comments.
