I am an experienced board gamer who quite recently got into CDG. I started out with Andean Abyss, and found Twilight Struggle shortly after. I bought Labyrinth about a month ago and have played through it Solitaire a handful of times and am now looking for a human opponent.

My plan is for a short two round match, where sides are swapped for game 2, of the Let's roll scenario with 1 deck each time. The game will be played via Vassal with game logs either mailed or in a shared Dropbox folder; I'm good with any. My goal is being able to play at least a few turns (Edit: Of course i mean rounds.) every day. I plan on following the guidelines in Guide to Playing Labyrinth PBeM on VASSAL strictly, since they seem to optimize gameplay and minimize downtime quite efficiently. I would be happy if any applicants have read that document before showing interest.

Sounds too much like a Job interview.

Good luck, though. it's a great game. That reminds me - I have to make my move...

Well, since I'm not twelve and have infinite time anymore I can't really see the downside of being clear about the premises from the start.

I do have got a candidate opponent already. BGG is awesome ...

Bright, brilliant colors are to be seen everywhere, the stones and pigments undimmed by the passage of decades. The floor of the corridor is a colorful mosaic of stone, with a distinct, winding path of red tiles about 2' wide.

Darn internet. Tough to read tone and get nuances.

Curses!

Yes.

You completely miss the tongue-in-cheek tone.

Looking for someone to play LWOT on Vassal PBEM.
I can play several rounds (maybe even a turn) per day, if nothing major happens in real life.
FYI, I'm in European time zone

I'm game. Also in european time zone, and can normally play a handful of rounds a day if nothing extraordinarily comes up. (VASSAL works without admin rights on work computers ... )

You feel like trying a game combining ACTS for cards, dice rolls and stuff; and normal VASSAL PBEM play for the board?

i don't see why. Vassal has everything it needs for LWOT. Also i'm not familiar with acts, so i would rather play everything on Vassal.
If that works with you, send me a geekmail and we will start a game.

Vassal has everything necessary for LWOT except for prevention of unfair play during PBEM. I.e. you can easily redo single logs and reroll actions or redraw cards until you are happy with the results. ACTS mitigates this since it acts as an immutable and trasnparent proxy for both card play and die rolls.

I generally trust people being reasonably interested in playing fair, but am equally curious of how much of a hassle using ACTS would add to Vassal PBEM. I can of course try that another time.

Never thought of that . But i see now you have a point. I signed up for acts and we can try to see how it goes there. As long as you'll guide me in acts if i'll have questions.

I have never used ACTS either, so how bout we play a normal game first and use it for the rematch? ;-)

turns out we are both curious about acts, so i say we give it a go from the start.
we'll settle the details via email, there's no point in derailing the topic.
