Oh hello.
mbmbmbmbmb
They are here! And on the way to distributors and pre-orderees. I'm happy to note that Innovation: Figures in the Sand was printed and assembled in the USA. This does mean a couple slight changes. The box size has changed, and the cards are a hair larger, to be proper US poker size (2.5"x3.5"). This may affect sleeves. Here is the new box:

Oh no! Larger box! APOCALYPSE! But wait...there is a reason we've done the thing we've done. Take a peek at this...

It fits all the things!

And...is that the third expansion? Why yes it is. Beta starting in February.

Not fitting your rulebooks though.

Good work.

They fit on top, and the box is slightly overfull with them inside but closes fine.

Will the cards all fit in the box if they are sleeved?

Heck with the sleeves, what are the implications for game play, if the cards are different sized?

The color of the fourth expansion must be purple as the third is red.

Have you played the first expansion? You're supposed to be able to tell the expansion cards from the base cards. And, with the new setup rules, it's not like you're shuffling them together in one stack. I think it could be annoying, but it has no actual effect on gameplay,

Chris, will you change the card size of the base game and the first expansion as well at the next prining run?

None. Cards from different expansions are always intended to be differentiable.

Future reprintings of the base game and echoes will likely be this new size as well, but unless you mix half of a copy of the old version with the new version because of some specifically targeted drink spill apocalypse, there shouldn't be any effect there either

Doubtful, for holding all sleeved things. It'll fit base plus figures sleeved, not sure if base plus echoes plus figures.

EDIT: the sleeves I bought before hearing the cards would be larger are working fine, see below.

He said the cards are 2.5" by 3.5", so they should fit your 2.5" by 3.5" sleeves. Mayday is not known for their precision and consistency, though.

+1 to that. I had an order of ten of these exact sleeves and five of the packs were smaller than the other five. They did replace them but it was very annoying.

We're talking a millimeter or two. The earlier Innovation cards were actually a hair smaller than 2.5"x3.5" which I was unaware of until recently. They should work okay I hope!

WARNING! Image contains subliminal message suggesting that box contains infinite possibilities.

So is it 330 or 440 cards?

Once the cards get sleeved, the box might not be fully closed.
You must consider that sleeved cards become thicker than before.

Arrived and sleeved yesterday. Thought some pictures might be of interest to other sleevers. I'm using Mayday premium 2.5" x 3.5".

Here is an Echoes special achievement card lying on top of a Figures decree card:

Here are all 330 currently-released cards of Innovation. Figures on the left, Echoes in the middle, base game on the right. Fitting nicely in the 400-count box pictured, with just enough spare room to grab cards by their fronts and backs with a finger and a thumb:

It appears to me that the Figures cards are slightly thicker in addition to being slightly larger.

I love Innovation but don't think the first expansion added anything to the game (I also don't think it took anything away from the game..... maybe it's for those who have played out the base game of Innovation and need a recharge). Having said that, I still own the first expansion (I'm fairly confident it will come in extremely handy in the distant future) and am buying this one asap

Any chance you are looking for volunteers to be part of the gametesting for this third expansion?
