It's Time for the Big Game!
Please join us for Pizza Box Football's 8th Annual Predict the Winner Event! This message tells you all you need to know to play Baltimore vs. San Francisco (before it happens).
And for those of you keeping score over the last 7 years, our players’ prediction has correctly predicted 5 winners (equaled by EA’s Madden franchise). The only predictions our players have missed have been games involving New England vs. New York... so I like our chances this year!
When you are done, please post your results here on BGG and send them to us [EMAIL ERIKSMITH@YAHOO.COM, indicate 2-player or solitaire]
We love getting your game scores and your commentary. Follow me (@otlgames) on Twitter to see results as they come in.
Print and Play for Free

Notes on Expansion Rules for Offense and Defense
If you don't have the small gray die shipped with the 2005-2007 Pizza Box Football Expansion Game Booster, you'll want to find an extra die to use in place of the small gray die used when guessing right on defense. We have posted a copy of the Expansion rules and Expansion play sequence card on the download page for folks who don't have them. We've also included some additional play examples beyond those shown in the Expansion rules.
Thanks for Making This an Unmatched Worldwide Event

First solitaire play completed, with advance play rules.
I started with San Fran and they took it easily 58-16.
Second game I played Baltimore and they won 17-16.
Now I went with playing both sides completely solitaire run...
Baltimore eked out a win 23-21 over Frisco. Game had 5 interceptions, 2 fumbles, a missed extra point and 12 punts total!
Last night, my wife played SF and I took Baltimore, advanced rules with penalties...she kicked my ass (as usual!), with SF winning 58-14.
One more time, full solitaire with advanced rules and penalties, this one went overtime due to some 4th quarter heroics by Baltimore, but ended up losing 21-27 on a 75 yard drive by SF.
From my results, it seems that if an actual live person is playing for San Fran, it is a blow-out, but if run full solitaire it ends up extremely close...

I played with my husband yesterday, he was San Fran, I was Baltimore. It wasn't looking good for San Fran at the half, down 9-0. However, they made a comeback the second half and ended up winning. Final score:
San Francisco - 20
Baltimore - 16
My son played it against the solitaire defence playing both offences.
49ers were up midway through the 4th quarter 21-17 but were intercepted 10 yards away from the end zone.
The Ravens then marched the ball nearly the full length of the pitch, and ran in a game winning touchdown inside the last 2 mins, to take it 24-21.
(PS Just noticed the Madden video game is tipping Ravens this year)
From what I'm seeing of the postings, there will be only one top prediction tool after this year...
marauder / media
He won - playing San Francisco - with 30 : 20 against me (playing Baltimore).
Let's see what happens Sunday
As a Raven fan I'm not too excited about the rating disparity (Apparently we're an average team) but I'll take the real SB win.
