I just did it. I had saved up enough for doing it, and I bought a hundred of them. Mostly for games I like.

I'm not entirely sure if this ground shaking news is worth this post, but I feel great now.

Thanks for reading meeple

Indeed! I would love to do that, but I don't get GG very often, so it would take me a long time!

P.S. Did you have to buy mb, or is it somehow awarded seperately?

P.P.S. I'm curious: did you plan-out which 100 MBs you'd purchase, or did you just go in willy-nilly and start purchasing until you ran out of ?

I bought it as badge #100 - no auto award soblue

It was a planned action. I started an Excel file a few weeks ago, where I wrote down all the badges I wanted to purchase. This list ran through many changes. Finally, I was satisfied with it and started buying.

It would be great having a top 100 list in microbadges. I would like to have them for all of the games I own.

Fun idea. Thanks for sharing.

I've been tempted to do this myself, but its those pesky GG lottery items that keep me saving up and re-spending, thus never taking the 100 badge plunge.

Congratulations and welcome to the club! To be honest there is a lot of prep work I remember I did mine bad. I accidentaly bought like a 103 before running out of GG and discovering that I still needed to buy the mb. I then quickly did some more work to get GG and finally got it.

Thanks guys - I just checked: 35 users own that microbadge - what an illustrious circle meeple

And I know some guys here who actually do have the but made no effort to get this particular one yet!

But as Barad said, it needs a little prep. And you have to be a little gaga to do it, of course

Congrats!

I got all my geekgold in the Games For Geekgold Lotteries. I listed games, made geekgold, tipped and won other games, and then hit a point where there was nothing I really wanted in the lotteries, so I binged on 100+ microbadges, an Ubergeekbadge, and Overtext. I'm now sitting at 587 microbadges according to the beta site, but now I've run out of geekgold and usually spend what meager gold I get on tips for other users. I'd go back and make more gold in the lotteries, but I've run out of games I know I want to get rid of. There might be some games I'll part with eventually, but until I play them a handful of times, I won't know if I like them or not.

Still...that 1,000 mb badge is pretty tempting. Only 3,304 to go!
