My current avatar is from anime Genesis Climber Mospeada (Mospeada) - early to mid-80s. Originally hit US shores and reworked as the 3rd part of Robotech. Recently tracked down the original Japanese version w/subtitles. Glad I did. A classic.
Enjoy exploring various games with new themes.
Everyone & all of nature is connected. Check the science.
Games are one way to explore little parts of our world,
maybe with just the people we play with. New themes keep things fresh.
AKA, having fun with friends.
Discovered games in which you play for victory points when certain in game things are triggered, maybe a set number of rounds.
These are more enjoyable to me than total smash the opponent type of games.
Maybe in jr high grades such games seemed interesting to me.
But I do not like when such thinking is used outside the realm of games, therefore I am not too much interested in them.
However, will play almost any game. As they are all just games. As long as you do the set-up. ha!
Am still worried that a war game may influence the youth to join the military at a future date. True, it's not a military recruitment poster, which actually can get you killed.
“When we look at modern man, we have to face the fact...that modern man suffers from a kind of poverty of the spirit, which stands in glaring contrast to his scientific and technological abundance; We've learned to fly the air like birds, we've learned to swim the seas like fish, and yet we haven't learned to walk the Earth as brothers and sisters...”
