Well I've been into fantasy games since I got my first Fighting Fantasy book aged about 10, I loved Talisman until I learned better and always had a brain game like Cranium out at Christmas but between growing up, having no one to really play with, a complete ignorance of the wonders of Euro gaming and other things, I never really became a serious gamer until summer 2012, when I spent 3 weeks in Boston with my wife and daughter, my best friend and her husband and 2 kids who are all avid gamers. I bought Ticket to Ride US over there and I just can't stop buying games now!
Current favourite games include Glory To Rome, Keyflower, 7 Wonders, Eminent Domain, Merchants and Marauders, Archipelago, Clash of Cultures, Suburbia and Snowdonia and as you can tell I will play anything and everything at least once!
I'm one of four founding members of the weekly Conwy Gaming Group in... wait for it... Conwy called The Snowdonia Dragons, and we play mostly Euros, both heavy and otherwise but also some Ameritrash games and the occasional wargame. I'm really very proud of our little group and how it has grown over the past 2 years, getting bigger by the week, we now have at least 20 members and a couple of spin-off groups as well!!!
We have regular sessions on Monday's and all day sessions roughly once a month, every time a winner!
I'm also, thanks to a little friendly competition between the group, in the middle of designing a small filler game, a deck building game of sorts with a medieval fantasy theme... fingers crossed that I can say more soon!
There's more! I also run a small design studio from which I make and sell products just for gamers. Such as t-shirts, keyrings etc. It's called MeeplyPeople...
