I'm a looooongtime boardgamer. My first real gaming experiences were chess and the old Avalon Hill favorites (Gettysburg, Panzer Blitz/Leader, Squad Leader)and Metagaming microgames (I still have a bunch and like to break them out once in a while)and the classic "Dark Tower" which I have a working copy of.
Cut my teeth on miniature gaming in college picking up Epic Space Marines and Bloodbowl 2nd ed.
After college, I got into the Magic CCG craze for a bit, and continued mini-gaming.
Like many, "Settlers of Catan" introduced me to Eurogaming. And I've tried various flavors of them...everything from Puerto Rico (which I still don't understand the appeal of) to Wallenstein to Niagara.
I have an extensive collection that I keep telling myself is completed...at least until the next game, expansion, miniature is released.
After 4yrs, I've relocated to Garden City, in southwest Kansas and am the sole Pastor at the local Lutheran church, Trinity.
The only style of game I've never really gotten into would be Rail-games or "Puffing Billy" style.
