Been a gamer of sorts all my life in everything from pre-PC computer games in the mid-70's to the latest Euro-style boardgame. Didn't get into the Eurogames until 1999 when someone introduced me to Cosmic Encounter. After playing a few times, I searched the net looking to buy a copy, and that's how I came across BGG, which re-vitalized my interest in boardgames.
I used BGG to locate the Waldorf Gamers Club in Waldorf, MD around 2001. My wife and I became a regular part of their group until we moved to Charlotte, NC in mid 2005.
I enjoy single player PC and videogames, most of my multiplayer online gaming is through Xbox Live, and most of my face-to-face gaming is done via the good ole boardgame.
My wife and I host a game-night 3 Fridays out of the month - and have been since 2006. Attendees play anything from boardgames to classic arcade games to Rock Band.
I have a black-belt in a mixed martial arts curriculum, and I have a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. My professor holds a black-belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Renzo Gracie. I used to spar MMA-style and roll BJJ fairly regularly for nearly 5 years - but my bad back has gotten the best of me. Now I roll maybe a couple times a year...[EDIT]although I have recently started training again.
My wife and I are both Christ followers with a love of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I believe that one of the biggest problems with Christianity is when Christians forget that they are to draw people nearer to God through love and compassion, rather than forcing our beliefs on and ridiculing others. The fact that so many people perceive Christianity as oppressive is an issue that should not be ignored.
My personal top 10 is in no particular order, and it doesn't necessarily represent my top rated games.
