*** SORRY ***
Due to the postage charges,
I only trade in the UK.
Anything that is on the trade list is for sale and what's on the sale list is also for trade (in case I forget to do one or the other!)
I'm pricing to sell the games quickly but by all means make me an offer (cash or a trade) - they have to go! And the worse I can say is (a polite) "no".
Married to a non-game player but have a 13 year old son who does play games and comes along with me to the few Cons and Game Days I attend and he does very well, although he favours "Ameri-trash" and games involving conflict over my prefered mid-weight Euros.
My preference is for:
> light to medium-weight games (I like playing both Power Grid and Loopin' Louie!);
> short(ish) playing time;
> definitely competitive rather than confrontational, which explains my dislike of war games (even the "light" ones!) and civilisation games but not my totally dismissive nature about RPG (why pretend to be someone else - relish who and what you are in reality!!)
> and I find it way more fun to be eyes-up rather than eyes-down - if I didn't want any interaction or "friendly banter" I would play computer/video games!
I have recently started to use the ratings suggest by Joshua Miller (Glamorous Mucus) because, like him, frequency of play has little bearing on my rating for a game. Here's the scale:
10: Magnificent game. One of my all-time personal favourites.
9: Excellent game. Always a pleasure to play.
8: Very good game. I definitely own/want it, and will actively suggest or recommend.
7: Good game. I might even suggest or recommend it. I may or may not own it.
6: Above average game. Somewhat enjoyable in the right circumstances.
5: Average game. I'm indifferent, but may be willing to play occasionally.
4: Below average game. I'll probably suggest something else, but might be persuaded to play.
3: Poor game. Will actively avoid playing.
2: Very poor game. Please don't ask me to play this.
1: Dreadful, terrible, awful game. The opposite of funTop Ten
, especially lower down, move around a lot!Hot Ten
are the games I'd like to play, but invariably will play what is on offer.
