Hello, and welcome to my BGG profile!
I love boardgaming. Mostly I like the social aspect of it - and yes, I'm into roleplaying to! Secret Santas
Take a look at my wishlists (boardgames and rpgs) and feel free to surprise me. These days I like co-op games, and games I can play with my kids (age 5 and 10).
Be aware of crazy EU
vs the World
tax. It is (sometimes
) very expensive so recieve a game from outside EU.ThanksFeel the Love Secret Summer SantaItem for Geeklist "Look what Secret Summer Santa gave me in 2014!" : RPG Geek of the Week #208: Jakob BavnshøjHere is my gaming story!
I have been gaming since 87. Played kids-games before that, but a feature in the news back then got me into playing RPG's (Dungeons & Dragons Set 1: Basic Rules
). When we bought the rpg's and the Citadel UK
figures we also got some boardgames. Among the first games I had, was: Family Business
quikly followed by Space Hulk
, Axis & Allies
I startet gaming in a private group. I dont think any of the others play anymore. When I startet in High School (danish: gymnasium) I startet in the local gaming club and quickly got into organizing conventions, clubwork, larps, etc... This love for organization is very important to me, and I have the last 20 years organized (done everything from making the food, to be head organizer) on about 100 conventions and perhaps 30 larps... I have been active in different gaming associations since 1992 - both small specialized local groups and the national gaming associations in Denmark.RPG:
I have played rpg's since 87. The following games have I played an enjoyed the most: Basic Dungeons & Dragons
, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (2nd Edition)
, Vampire: The Masquerade
, Werewolf: The Apocalypse
, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd Edition)
, Pendragon (1st - 5th Editions)
, Shadowrun (2nd Edition)
and many more. These days I play Shadowrun
with a gaming group in TRoA in Aalborg!Boardgames:
My favorite boardgame to this date is Diplomacy
. I know the rules have some flaws, but the intensity when playing with a good group are awesome! These days I play anything my gaminggroup wants to play. On the toplist is Arkham Horror
, Ticket to Ride
, Small World
and games in that genre.Larps:
I really likes playing larps, and have had some of the greatest time im my life doing it. These days its mostly on our school but from time to time I get to play someting great outside my job.Miniatures:
In the old days I played a bit of Man O' War
. Never really loved it. I have been playing Flames of War: The World War II Miniatures Game
in a few years now and really likes it.

I did it on 12th january 2013Highlights from my 25 years of gaming
2014: Startet playing a Shadowrun 4th campaign in our gaming group. Startet logging plays in my summer vacation.
2013: Was at my first Flames of War event. Had some epic wins. I am now playing Warhammer 2Ed rpg every week.
2012: Startet hanging out with the FtL-bunch. Visited Spiel in Essen for the first time.
2011: I started playing D&D 3.5 every week with my old gaming group. We visit Köln on our study-trip, and we meet up with some other geeks. We end the school-year with an awesome pirate scenario.
2010: Starts playing Flames of War – my first miniature-game in years. We visit Prague to play larp.
2009: I got promoted to the job as vice principal on the boarding school. We had our second child – Sofie.
2008: Played in a great Pirate Larp – Torden over Tortuga. We play some Pendragon.
2007: With a group of pupils from the boarding-school we organize a larp for Fastaval. I got to be a part of the Fastaval organization again this year. I’m organizing another Danish Championship in Diplomacy.
2006: I got headhunted to get the kitchen working on the new Danish boardingschool Østerskov Efterskole. A school based on roleplayinggames. This year we do the last Orkon – a small convention known for its great atmosphere and its ability to find new niches in role-playing games.
2005: I’m still playing some rpg’s and boardgames. I visit a few conventions but mostly to play boardgames. I gets involved in organizing a huge summer-larp – Khypris.
2004: Moves to Hobro – away from most of our gaming-groups. I continued playing in Aalborg. We had our first child - Katrine. I was helping judging about 25 scenarios for Fastaval – much work, but great fun.
2003: Played a lot of role-playing games (Call, Warhammer). Was organized in TRoA in Aalborg and helped doing the summer-larps.
2002: Helps resurrect one of the old proud conventions in Aalborg – TRoA-con. Gets married and gets hit by real life, job, etc. I visited BGG for the first time looking for some stuff for Diplomacy.
2001: Was main organizer on 4 great conventions this yeah. We did one of the best running Fastavals ever. The handbook on how to organize gaming-associations hits the street! We had a reception on Fastaval and here I meet a sweet lady. A few months later we were engaged. She is a gamer to, organizes conventions, makes larps, etc. I’m in love!
2000: Now I’m one of the Generals staff on Fastaval. The convention went poorly, but we learnt a lot this year. We started a project about making a handbook for gaming-organizations and we got some money from the Danish Youth Association to do it.
1999: Started making food for larps and conventions. The first time doing that was on Knudepunkt in Copenhagen. Its a huge Scandinavian larp-convention. This year we made the food for about 10 role-playing events.
1998: Started playing Fantasy-larps. I did a lot of game-mastering. People called me to help running their games. I visited The Gathering in England – a huge larp with thousands of players. We organized the first Hyggecon – a convention about larps and coziness. I was responsible for the larp-part of the Danish national role-players association.
1997: Did a mindboggling larp for Fastaval using Mind’s Eye Theater rules. It was one of the first larps in Denmark with so many individual roles. We treated (with success) every player as leading roles. It took ages to write all the stuff, but it was great fun. This year we started an online rpg-magazine called Xkapist (http://xkapist.alexandria.dk/
). We also did the first gamer’s summer camp. A concept still alive today. Find a huge cabin in the woods, get some gamers, get a lot of games, some great food and a lot of beers – and we have the greatest holyday week in history!
1996: Wrote my first convention-role-play. Za Rudino. I become hugely involved in Fastaval – perhaps the greatest convention I Denmark. I’m in charge of the on-site newspaper and the opening ceremony. I visited a convention about once a month. I was one of the few who visited THREE huge Danish conventions in one week of vacation (Hell-Week-42) – VikingCon (Copenhagen), Spiltræf (Odense) and PentaCon (Vejle). I organized the first Danish Championship in Diplomacy.
1995: The group doing Mafia makes a new convention-larp: Kultist. We did it for Fastaval 95. The theme was Gaslight and Mike Pondsmith
) was guest at the convention. Same year we won the ÆresOtto – the biggest honorary award in Denmark (and it still is).
1994: With a bunch of friends (gang = Cool Fish Delivery) we won the convention-larp Mafia. We told the Mayor’s office (the GM’s) to “leave town”, and suddenly we were in charge of organizing the event.
1993: Last year in High School. Got involved in a gaming-club, organized my fist convention (FiskeCon) and did my first Larp. The Larp was a horror, and we actually scared some of the players so much they ran away! After the convention it was decided that I should be the chairman of the biggest rpg-organization I Skive (lol – just a little gaming-club, but we had great fun). I started visiting a lot of conventions this year.
1992: Visited my first convention and played my first LARP (‘Mafia’).
1991: Played Shadowrun, read the Danish rpg-magazines SAGA, Fafner Tidende and KAOS.
1990: Started in High School. When I told my classmates I played RPG’s, then suddenly some of the others did as well!
1989: Visited Fantask in Copenhagen and a on a trip to Scotland I got my first rpg-magazine.
1988: Actually played the first role-playing campaign and read a lot of Fighting Fantasy books.
1987: Watched a tv-report about role-playing games in Danish television. We ordered the Basic D&D set and some miniatures from Fantask right away.
