"We like games to be brutal in that mistakes cannot be corrected later on—otherwise, why play the first turns at all?" - Splotter Spellen

I fold a lot of paper. I have years of practice.http://www.flickr.com/photos/malachus/collections/7215760306...
I like to play games that don't have much luck and that make me think.
I like to work with computers. I am a programmer by day.
I know how to juggle. Yes, I can juggle three balls. Yes, I can juggle three clubs. Yes, I can juggle four balls. No, I can't juggle more than that.
I write things that people don't read.http://malachus.livejournal.com/
I'm married and we have one daughter and two dogs; one border collie and one border collie mix. They are too smart for their own good.
I'm cranky and opinionated.
I don't eat meat. I don't like vegetables. I don't like to eat. I don't eat much.
I don't like cars. I don't like to drive.
I don't like people.
I don't know why you're reading this when there are better things to do.
Since you're still reading this, I think I'll add some words about how I rate games. Basically I'm a curmudgeon. I don't like most board games and I rate things accordingly. I don't tolerate games with lots of randomness or lack of decision making well. For this reason, I generally rate filler games with a 4.
When rating games or expansions with multiple parts, such as Age of Steam maps with more than one distinct map, I will give the game an overall rating equal to the highest rating of any component part because I think that provides the most accurate view of the value of the game. The individual ratings for the components will be reflected in the comments.
