I like boardgames, horror and fantasy very much; 'Lord of the Rings' and 'A Song of Ice and Fire' are some of my best novels/sagas.
About boardgames... well, all started when I was 5 years old. My father introduced me to classic italian card games (Briscola, Scopa, Scala 40). Then I approached boardgames. Stratego, Risiko, Sub Search, Manager, Master Mind, Scarabeo and Subbuteo are the first coming to my mind. I was a child. Then a teen.
After a 10-year transitional period of videogame addiction (I started with C=64, then japan consoles) I returned to my first love.
Although I play every kind of boardgame, my motto is 'no luck is no fun'. For sure, too much luck can compromise gameplay, but not enough luck seriously compromise the fun in my opinion.
Theme is also really important for me and I like the most fantasy and horror; because of that I generally prefer american-style games and not so much german-(cold)-style ones.
My best genres are dungeoncrawl and light-skirmish; also I like very much team games and cooperatives. But most of all I like card games, CCGs mostly.
I like the 'variable player powers' mechanics and games where I control unique abilities/factions/winning conditions.
I'm a collector too, so the games here in my collection are all the games I have on my shelves.
