As requested by a few people, a link to a geeklist with all of my reviews:My reviews - an UndeadViking's quest to rate every game in his collection
I haven’t updated this sucker in awhile, so here we go…
I am, as I type this, a 40 year old man who was born in 1971 in Fargo, North Dakota. I have spent my entire life either living in Fargo, or Moorhead, Minnesota. If you take a moment to look those two cities up on a map, you will see that they are right next to each, being separated by the Red River of the North. I went to Lewis and Clark grade school, Agassiz Junior High School, Fargo South High School, and Concordia College of Moorhead. I guess you can say I never got the urge to leave town.
Ever since my older brother introduced me to Dungeons and Dragons when I was around eight or nine years old, I have been a gamer. First and foremost, I love playing RPG’s. I primarily play D&D, though 4th edition was a big giant pile of steaming crap, so my group has since moved on to Pathfinder, and we have not looked back once. Over the years, I have played a ton of other systems, such as GURPS, Middle Earth Role Playing, Paranoia, Warhammer, and Shadowrun, just to name a few. I have been blessed that my core group of friends, that still meet every other Saturday for gaming, are pretty much the same guys I have been doing this with for about 25 years.
Around 6 years ago, I had a couple of life changing events happen to me. The first one was that the young, cute, athletic brunette that worked down the hall from me started taking an active interest in me and my life. That cute 19 year old girl is now my devastatingly beautiful 25 year old wife. The second was, on a whim, I purchased the Arkham Horror boardgame.
In both cases, I plunged ahead and never looked back.
So here I am, just under six years later. My wife and I have welcomed two beautiful, happy, healthy children into our lives – my 4 year old daughter Rilyn, and our 8 month old son Caleb. We have two dogs and a cat. We live in a home that we built four years ago on just under an acre of land. We have a lake cottage that is 45 minutes from our home where I spend my summer weekends fishing for walleye in the mornings, and taking naps in hammocks in the afternoon.
And I still meet up with my friends every chance I get to play games.
Most likely you have found this page because you have watched one of my reviews. I don’t know the exact reason why I started making my videos, but for whatever reason I seem to be decent at it – probably more due to my tenacity than anything else. Don’t worry, however, I know I have a long ways to go before I could ever consider myself “good” at what I do. I would like to thank you for watching what I do – without you and people like you, I would probably have stopped doing reviews a long time ago.
Other than that I don’t know what to say. The greatest treasure I have in my life is my family. My wife is spirited, stubborn, sexy, and beautiful. She has given me so much life and LOVE for life I can never repay her. Above all else, she has given me the greatest gift that I have ever been given – the chance to be a father.
If my wife is my rock, my daughter is my undeniable joy for life. Sadly, the little tyke is going to grow up looking like her dad, but thankfully she has enough of Becca thrown in there to somehow make her as beautiful as her mom. She is stubborn, intelligent, and the funniest person I know. She makes every single thing I have done in my life to get to the point that I am right now worth it in every way. If I never do another thing right for the rest of my years, I know that I have at least done one amazing thing with my existence here on Earth by bringing her into the world.
But I know that I have done at least one more great thing. I have a son! My little boy is not even a year old yet I cannot remember or even consider life without him. He is quite simply the happiest little baby I have ever met in my life. Everything is funny to him, and he cannot get enough of his sister. Fully mobile now, he is crawling around our house with wanton abandon, scaring the pets, knocking things over, eating anything he can fit into his mouth, and breaking apart with his hands the things that he can’t consume. I was initially pleased that he looked like his mother, but slowly but surely, my DNA has taken over, so sadly, there will be another one of me rolling around on this planet soon enough.
So now you know a little bit more about me. If you clicked through to this page looking for my personal insight on boardgames, I am sorry that I did not go very in depth into that spectrum of my life – if you want to know more I would suggest you watch my review of Arkham Horror – I give you a pretty good history of my life and all things gaming if you can manage sitting through all of it. I would like to say again how much I appreciate each and every one of you who has bothered to watch my reviews, and a very special thanks to those of you who have taken the time to drop me a line and let me know that you like what I do (or even had constructive criticism!) – every day I get an email or comment from someone that makes my day, and let me tell you, that is awesome.
Take care of yourself – and be good to each other - and if you happen to run into me at a convention, please come over and say hello, I love meeting new people.

Here are some pictures of my pets. Reggie is the black dog, Beaker is the weener dog. They are half-sisters, having the same French Bulldog father. What can I say, he gets around. The cat, who hates everyone else who lives in her house, is Lilly.
And finally, a some pictures of the three most important people in the world to me...
Oh, fine, as requested a picture of yours truly.
