I am a retired senior citizen who finally has the time to enjoy board games. Research indicates that keeping the mind active with new challenges helps to ward off Alzheimers, something we seniors need to be particularly concerned about. I recently lost my best gaming partner, my grandson, who is now off to college. It's difficult to find folks in my age group interested in playing board games. All that most of them remember about board games is Monopoly, and know nothing of the many hundreds of newer, more challenging board games.
I'm hoping to get in as many new board games as possible before all I'll be able to play is Bingo, and I really appreciate having found BGG and learning all about these newer games. Thanks to all you younger contributors for sharing your reviews, rules questions, top ten lists, witty comments, etc.
