My name is Bob. I love to play mostly Eurogames of all kinds from light to medium to advanced. Fell into Eurogaming the day after Thanksgiving in 2004. Back then I lived in Reno and we had an unexpected snow storm that was so bad I could not drive my car anywhere. I wondered to a strip mall down the street and went into a gaming store. I was introduced to Carcassonne and immediately was hooked. The rest is history.
Counting expansions, I own over 90 games. My current favorites include:
Defenders of the Realm, Princes of Florence, Blue Moon City, Dominion,Settlers of Catan, Stone Age, Kingsburg, San Juan, Tigris and Euphrates, Pacru, Carcassonne, Caylus... I could go on and on about favorites but I think I will stop now.
Moved to Central Oregon from Reno Nevada and have met some really nice mutual boardgamers. Definitely have more gamers in Oregon then Nevada from my experience.
Always up for a good game so if anyone out there is interested, drop me a line. Prefer to play with social low key gamers who like to win(who doesn't) but don't feel that is the most important thing.
I tend to shy away from reading articles on strategy. Also hate it when I'm being taught a game or during gameplay someone has to tell you their trick to beating the game.
For me, the fun of a game is the experiential process of learning how to play a game better by playing and the social aspect of course!
Also enjoy learning and teaching the rules of a game and love reading and watching game reviews.
