Let's play!* Sometimes I want to claw my way to the top of the heap.
* Sometimes I want to appreciate a fine simulation.
* Sometimes I want to have a good laugh.
Abstracts, CCGs, beer-and-pretzels, wargames... I'm not picky, so long as it's a fun ride (and a strong theme helps too). So pull up a cushion, have a cup of tea, and exercise your whimsy!
My usual gaming circle has a strong preference for games that are quick to learn and play, and have lighthearted but strong themes. We are sci-fi junkies, MtG veterans, sysops, miniatures generals, RPG masters, and "gamers in denial". We're always looking for another new game favorite-to-be to join the ranks of Give Me the Brain, Fluxx, Grave Robbers From Outer Space, Chez Geek, and Guillotine.
I'm also an amateur game designer. Game design is my art form. I've got a website for
my game designs and player aids. I've got fifteen years worth of prototypes at hand, including a few that I want to get published.
I generally don't add my own games to BGG. I don't want to look like a shill. Also, I don't think my games are *relevant* enough until somebody else is motivated to add them. I hereby give my official assent for any of my designs to be added as BGG entries (but don't upload my files, please).
