The Coat of Arms of Clan Montgomery - Scotland. Yes, that's a woman with the head of a savage in her hand, and an anchor. No clue what it means, but it's cool.
I've returned to wargaming since 2008, and have in that time amassed more games than I will likely ever explore in any depth. As each year passes by, I buy more games while playing fewer of them. These days, I am teetering on the edge of being a collector rather than a player.
A little about me: I'm a late-thirties Midwesterner hailing from Joliet, Illinois, about thirty-five miles southwest of Chicago. I am a wargamer - but I'm not a judgmental one. I have played and will continue to play other boardgames, too, but my true passion lies in wargaming and history.
My ratings are simply subjective opinions on how good a game is. Generally, if a game isn't at least an 8, I probably don't/haven't/won't play it very much. I regularly cycle out games that aren't getting played, and have been trying to keep my game count + expansions below 300. So far so good.
If you are a wargamer who likes conventions, I go to BGG Con every year and would love to get in a game with you at the Con. Around September 1st, I put up a wargamer meet-up list, and if interested, you can just subscribe to my posts around the end of August.
I haven't updated my games owned list in a while, there are several games that need to be pulled off the list and quite a few left to add.
I think this community is one of the best around the internet.
