Aldie and I created boardgamegeek.com in early 2000 and it's been an amazing experience ever since. I was working primarily in financial software at the time, but I've always been involved to a certain extent. In 2008 I joined full-time. I've been playing games for many years, and I usually have strong opinions about them. I tend not to write full-fledged reviews these days, but Aldie and I did do podcast called Geekspeak for a while.
I view gaming as primarily a social exercise, so it's important to keep the games appropriate for the group. As an old friend of mine said, have a game for every occasion. And it's always very important for everyone to keep the right attitude!
I genuinely believe that the world would be a better place if people played boardgames more.
