Its BARBARA TUCHMAN
one of the greatest authors ever in my humble opinion.
Hello and thanks for reading about me.
I am an ex-pat American living in Shizuoka Japan.
Originally from Manhattan I discovered gaming at the age of 11 through my dad, who brought home such titles as Gettysburg, Battle of the Bulge and Third Reich. Good memories there.
I enjoy mostly playing wargames, although you couldn't tell from my collection as I have acquired a number of 'non' wargames which I use to teach English to Japanese students.
Some of my old favorites, which I sadly haven't played in years are; ASL, Russian Campaign and 3rd Reich (although the PC game is decent enough) I am currently enjoying or have enjoyred various rounds of Steel Panthers, Machiavelli and I hope to get a copy of Empire in Arms at some point. Not for the light hearted.
Big NHL hockey fan where I co-run a simulation league with 22 teams and GM's from the EU, Canada, America and of course Japan. If you are at all interested in sim hockey check out the websitehttp://www.billcorfield.com/CCHL/
and a retro league herehttp://billcorfield.com/LHL/
I also play in a few baseball roto leagues, the odd hockey fantasy league as well as enjoying a good non-fiction book, especially the aforementioned Barbara Tuchman.
I am married and have three cats who enjoy terrorizing my games when left setup overnight.
My collection has grown too large of late so I have stopped buying new games for now after the last run on economic games, although I am on a couple of GMT 500 lists.
When I do get around to buying games again I want to pick up a copy of Junta and 1830.
My next goal is to teach myself commodity trading and improve my investing (real life)
