I sat down to write a gaming biography, but by the time I finished, it was almost two thousand words long. Here
is a link to it instead.
All you need to know is I'm married to the love of my life. We've been together seven years. We love gaming and watching Sci-fi together. I teach high school English to inner city kids. Or at least as inner city as the capitol of Mississippi gets. I love most any kind of gaming, though I favor RPGs. I love the storytelling aspect of it. But board games are also great, and video games will do in a pinch. I prefer my gaming to have some social aspect to it, even if the game is cutthroat. Gaming is like good food and STDs. It's best when shared.
As far as non-gaming things go, I love to write. Short stories, plays, movies, sketches, stand-up comedy routines, novels, lyrics. It's all good to me. I also love improv, specifically improv comedy. Or any comedy for that matter. I love good sci-fi but am a sucker for bad. I used to hate horror, but find I love to run horror games. I enjoy theatre and acting and amassing large collections of things (action figures, games, movies, comic books). I'm a pusher. When I'm excited about something, I get other people excited about it too. My wife says it's a good thing I don't sell drugs, though at least we'd have more money in the bank if I did. I also enjoy magic (the sleight-of-hand variety, not the Richard Garfield kind). I like to read, though I'm having a hard time finding something to LOVE reading. Favorite movies:
Fight Club, Princess Bride, True Stories, The Prestige, the Oceans movies (11, 11, 12, 13) or any caper for that matter (hence my Fiasco love) such as Snatch or Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. Current Love of the Week:
Inception, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, HarveyFavorite TV shows:
Doctor Who (new and old), Firefly, Freaks and Geeks, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Lost, Arrested Development, and Home Movies. Current Love of the Week:
Babylon 5, Party Down, HustleFavorite Bands/Artists:
Gershwin, Miles Davis, John Coltraine, Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd, They Might Be Giants, Minus the Bear, Sigur Ros, Talking Heads. Current Love of the Week:

Ender's Game series (Orson Scott Card), John Constantine: Hellblazer, Sandman (or most anything Neil Gaiman for that matter), most anything by Kurt Vonnegut and Philip K. Dick.Current Love of the Week:
I don't really have one. Currently in that awkward phase with the Dresden Files. You know the phase. The one where you don't really talk much. The love is gone, but neither of you want to admit it. So you call every now and again. Hang out on weekends, but don't get excited around each other anymore, and you know you should break up but you haven't convinced yourself yet that you're ready to give up something boring but reliable for something new and interesting so you stay together because it's convenient. Yeah. That's us.
