First off: English is not my first language, so please excuse any english spelling / grammar mistakes you may encounter in my postings.
My concious gaming life started when I was 14 by buying a copy of "Das Schwarze Auge", a german RPG. The first boardgame I bought with my own money was "König Arthus" (King Arthur)by Laurin. From there on my collection started to grow, first slowly then, thanks to BOOKMAN'S in Phoenix, AZ, rapidly. At this point I am trying to fill the holes in the "Golden Oldies" category while weeding out those games I am not really interested in. I have become more selective in the purchase of newer games over the years.
I seriously own to many games and am happy to trade, please check out my trade list!
Due to work I am not always able to send off trade games immediately, so please be patient. Don't send off your part of the trade before you got mine!
My perfect game has enough randomness that you can blame losing on it while it has enough control that you can attribute winning on your clever strategy / tactics.
I like games that have a lot of player interaction / negotiation.
As things stand I am getting more and more interested in co-operative and semi co-operative games.
In case you were wondering: I have started logging "Games played" in January 2007. Just because it shows a "0" for some games that I rated doesn't mean I haven't played them.
My "Top 10" is just that: My ten favorite games.
My "Hot 10" are games I am currently very interested in, I might be playing them a lot or might not even have seen a copy in the wild yet. This list does change more or less frequently.
