Played alot of typical American games growing up...especially the word games such as Scrabble, Upwords, Boggle, and Probe to name a few along with games such as Rummikub, Dutch Blitz, and Rook.
I started to realize there were different games out there when a relative brought Big City to a Christmas dinner and it fascinated me, although I didn't really know where to look for them at the time.
My brother Larry
eventually did discover BGG and the existence of the Euro game and introduced us to them...while my collection is not as large as his (and hopefully never will be
!), it continues to grow.
I have since joined a local game group that meets near Hatfield, PA (or Souderton): http://www.meetup.com/HatfieldGameClub/
twice a month where I have really enjoyed getting the chance to play with others that share this interest of mine
I have also discovered that I enjoy putting PnP games together and trying games that would otherwise be unavailable to play. I enjoy putting the effort/creativity into creating nice copies of the PnP games that interest me...always looking for new PnP games (at least to me) to add to my list for possible future building. Some of the games I've built (or am working on!) can be found in the following geeklists: 2011 PnP Projects2012 PnP Projects2013 PnP Projects2014 PnP Projects2015 PnP Projects
