Dear Secret Santa,
Thank you soooooo much for the the Firefly expansions you sent me this year! My children and I have played several games with the expansions which makes this one of the best gifts I received this year.
You have ben very secretive this year, and I would love to send you an appropriate thank you note. If/when you see this message, please feel free to drop me a BGG note.
Thank you again, and I hope you had a very Merry Christmas!
I have been a wargamer since my Mom and Dad got me a copies of Avalon Hill's Gettysburg
for my 10th birthday. I enjoyed all of the Milton Bradley American Heritage Games
as well. My friends and I got pretty serious in high school when we started playing Rise and Decline of the Third Reich
and large Ace of Aces
campaigns, encouraged by a wargaming history teacher. Gaming carried over to college where many study sessions were also spent (wasted?!) playing Diplomacy
, Flat Top
, The Ironclads
, SPI quadgames
), as well as in Strat-O-Matic Baseball
Most of the gamers around now, including my children, prefer Eurogames to wargames, so I have branched out (a bit) and enjoy games like The Downfall of Pompeii
, Chicago Express
, Mag·Blast (Third Edition)
. But still prefer wargames like Wings of War: Famous Aces
and practically anything from Victory Point Games
If you landed here on my profile page because you bought (or are thinking of buying) one of my microbadges
thank you! I tend to design for games/topics of interest to me, but have done some for other folks (and a few on GG commission). I've also added some other content to the geek, and hope to be more active as time goes by...
To that end, I am pleased to report that on January 2, 2013, I was awarded the 51st
microbadge (of which I am quite proud).
January 31, 2013: earned the
microbadge with these 100 (+1) purchases:
Some microbadges I haven't gotten around to buying yet (saving up to earn the
badge): Top 10 = my favorite games:Old Counters:
