Early forties Kiwi living over in the UK. Got back into gaming around 2000 after spending my late teens through to mid-thirties doing typical New Zealand stuff for guys - playing sport, drinking, watching sport, drinking, travelling and partying, ....
But now in a different country with a young son it was about time to get away from solitary PC gaming and into something more social and fun.
Mainly like games with an AT flavour/theme such as
Fortress America,
Samurai Swords,
Memoir '44 while other favourite games include Age of Steam, Power Grid, Silverton (once a year maybe) plus some of the older Civ or Wargamey type games - so I suppose I enjoy a good theme to immerse into, plus some type of involved building (structures or empires).
I'm mainly a boardgamer although I bought some of the LoTR Hex miniatures to try out with my lad and some cross-over gamers I know and they went down well - so we'll see what happens there.
