I live in Warsaw, Poland.
Being a kid, I was introduced to games by my father or brother (I don't remember who of them was first). Chess, checkers. I rarely win, but there was some kind of magic. Then I fall in love with fantasy and science-fiction. Around the same time I found first, a bit obscured stories about role-playing games. What could be better than mix of game and beloved background? I created a lot of naive designs that were supposed to be "rpg" but how far I missed the point became apparent many years later. But finally I crowned my fascination becoming RPGs gamer, then DM, then con atendee, freelance writer and finally translator and editor. Role-playing was everything.
Time passed by, college time ended, human beings get older, get work, have families, have no time for endless campaigns. I met modern board games and found them as much better hobby for someone after 30. Moreover, the magic was back. Mathematical beauty, logic of rules, finally story and math thrown together. That’s it!
I was PR representative of Polish website about board games called gry-planszowe.pl. I perform these duties sometime, but my activity declined. I spent most of my free time trying to invent some board games myself. The BGG will show if I was successful.
A note on plays account: Most of games played at home with my relatives are not added to public plays count. Thus, dozens of Lost Cities plays are not recorded and curious one may assume that I bought this game just to adore my bookshelf, what is false assumption. Also, many games I played few years ago were not added to the list. Sometimes I forget to add some play with friends in public place too. Basically I use the plays record to keep the track what I have tried (even if giving game a rank will be enough).
