When I'm not playing games, working on my game or reading Lovecraft again and again, I'm probably spending time working on a game review.
I find it incredibly hard to work in time to just review games, as I'd rather be playing them. I've been trying to split my time more effectively.
Currently working on my first game. 'I Am Providence' surely it'll have a Lovecraft theme, but hopefully it'll surprise most people. This is something that hasn't been tackled up to this point. Our goal is to deliver a thematic game that stays true to the original work. There's a possibility that future expansions will branch out to others work in the Mythos realm, but we're sticking close to the source material for our initial game.
Artistically, we're blending the pulp poster/movie style of AIP films from the 70's with Lovecraft. AIP spent most of their time working on films by Poe, what would those films have looked like in a Lovecraft setting? Hopefully the art in 'I Am Providence' will show you.
I spend most tuesdays at the Wandering Dragon in Plainfield. Either running a Warmachine/Hordes league, demoing other games or partaking in Euro games.
Wednesday has routinely been our weekly game night for nearly two years, and we've just started entering the world of Pathfinder every other Thursday.
Some how I work all of this in with a full time job and an amazing wife who has been nothing short of incredible. Did I mention she's also the artist for 'I Am Providence'? See that little avatar up there? That's her handy work.
If you'd be interested in me reviewing your game, please contact me.
I'm also an avid horror fan and Craft Beer Collector, always up for trading beers.
