Been a big boardgame fan since I was a kid. Starting with the ubiquitous Monopoly and Parcheesi, and eventually grew into the 3M Bookshelf games. Geez, my brother and I loved those games... Facts in Five, Twixt, Quinto, Stocks & Bonds, etc. I still have them, too. And some of the electric games like Mattel's Lie Detector and Stop Thief were fun too.
I'm fortunate that my wife truly loves to play SOME of the games in my collection, but is always willing to TRY (at least once!) any game I ask her to try. Having turned into somewhat of a "rabid collector" over the past few years, we keep playing NEW games all the time and don't really have that many favorites that hit the table all the time. We only get to play one night a week all evening long, but she's usually up for a light game of Express, Lost Cities or Can't Stop almost any day of the week.
Our current favorites: Ascension, Thunderstone, Alhambra (board & dice)
Party favorites: Telestrations, Times Up Title Recall
