Correction to the rules as described in the video. When the active player uses an action to take cubes back from the cross space on the board, he/she takes all their pieces back, and all the other players take half their pieces back rounded down. The brinksmanship around when players use an action to get cubes back is a strategic element in the game. Thanks.

I'm not sure whether some of that mispronunciation might not be deliberate on Tom's part. whistle I think he even revels in it to a certain extent, ever since Scott Nicholson chided him on mispronouncing Cyclades.
