Glad you enjoyed this one Marco.

If you haven't already come across it, don't miss the free "Late Bronze Age" variant that modifies (and improves) the original game slightly. It's available as a free downloadable print-and-play file from the designer/publisher.

In a poll I ran, almost 90% of respondents said that they prefer playing with the modifications introduced by this variant. You'll find more info about it here.

Perfect timing as I just discovered this one as well, have enjoyed it, and hope to introduce it to my family (non-gamers for the most part). It's also inspired me towards a new design that I was already working on.

Good call on your final call, fully agreed.

I quite agree that this plays as a nice civ lite game that just begs for repeated plays. Nice review.

We had a lot of fun, and Mike's young son missed winning the game as he fell 1 Worker short of building the Great Wall (10 VP's) on the last roll of his last turn.

I see us playing this one a lot...

A very clever game on civilization development. But strategies dependent upon Luke? It might be true but not really my cup of tea.

Great review, Marco. As you say, "This is a notch above a filler game."

Keep up the good work.
