To get the subtitles, turn on the captions by clicking on the little arrow and then on "CC" at the bottom right corner of the video!

My 6th video on my boardgames : COSMIC ENCOUNTER !
Cosmic Encounter © is a game published by Fantasy Flight Games.

Note : Please tell me if you prefer when I speak english like for Gosu, or when I write subtitles like here. Thank you !

Hello,

Many videos of great quality do exist around the web, to teach you the rules of many boardgames.

My videos aim at something else : giving you a brief, pleasant and light glimpse at boardgames, and strictly without rules - like sum ups at the back of boxes !

My goal : to give an idea of the game in less that 2 minutes, with my very amatorish tools (old camera, inner mike, laptop, and so on). My vids are originally made to help my fellow players choosing a game before a meeting.

If you're interested by a game, you can then look on the web to find videos about rules to YOUR like (BoardGameGeek, DiceTower, Tric-Trac, and so on).

I'm not related to any publisher, neither am I a saler : I'm a player, these are my games, that I bought, and I highly recommend to buy them because they are GOOD!

Thanks for reading me!

Hem

All my vids are dedicated to the memory of Vincent Moirin, aka Mister 20.100.

I really like your short reviews! thumbsup

I had some trouble, finding out how to activate subtitles. No, not really. It took some time until I realized, that I actually had to activate them.

I like the subtitles solution. May help to improve my french...

Hi EvilKnivel,

That's really nice of you, thank you !

Your message kind of worries me, because I want to be understood by everyone, and that's why I worked hard on my subtitles (well, took me the whole day of today, that's all, but anyway).
But I looked on YouTube to see if I could FORCE the subtitles to be displayed to anyone viewing my vids, but it does not seem to exist ! Only for oneself, not for everyone. That's problematic. I don't really want to put a message to people, asking them to activate the subtitles, because it requires some efforts and some reading that a lot of people won't do... Hm... I'll keep on looking for a solution...

Anyway : tschüss, Knivel !

Hem, is that your table, or do you play CE on the floor?

I love the video. The music made it sound like a great caper.

Hi Jack,

I think I remember you from FFG forum, if you're the same crazy Warp guy who invented tons and tons of new races ! You're this amazing fellow aren't you ? Thanks a lot for your compliments, that's very nice, and it always cheers me up and makes me confident to go on with my vids.

I'm sorry to tell you you're wrong on both propositions : it is NOT my table, and I DON'T play CE on the floor............ ah, damn, ok, ok, it was my floor, I know, man it is so embarassing. But this is actually the floor from my previous flat ! You spotted it well. And though for tiny games we did not play on the floor, for my vids I use to record them on the floor. Now, we moved in, and we got a huge dark table (see my video on Gosu to check it out), so, I'm done with the horrible floor from my previous vids, I promise !

Anyway. Thanks again. That's really nice. Bye !
