I played this at the game club recently. I watched this review to see if the host of the game left something out or did not emphasize some aspect enough. I had this question because I have the same opinion of the game as Tom Vasel. By the time you get to fighting the 'evil good guys' you know what is going to happen. The battle is simply going thru the motions or as Tom says, "book keeping". There needs to be some sort of surprise or randomness to the battles. Maybe the other players can make some decisions about what the 'evil good guys' do or perhaps a last minute substitution or added ability given. Something needs to change so that the battle is not anti-climactic.
Bit fast lol, but at least it was an overview of the game and the mechanics. Pretty interesting game. Might have to see what else I can view on the game before I buy it.
I enjoy Tom's video reviews. Thanks Tom! But I must admit to being happy with this one because I didn't have to fast forward through his dumping contents on the table. I guess it's because this one is an older review. Tom, throwing contents of games down makes my teeth hurt! Seems like an odd practice given the consistent quality of your production. Nothing is gained from it. The dumping takes too long. Tom, if you have to toss the stuff down like an ogre with an upset stomach, I will accept that as a something I have to endure to get to the good parts.
Either you are reading off of cue cards or you are looking at yourself on a computer monitor. I never noticed this from Tom before.
Don't see this at all. Interesting. You are usually an insightful poster, but do not see how you infer these two possibilities. Purely subjective response by youself in my opinion.
