From April 12, 2007 to October 30, 2008, an unprecedented game of Arimaa was played between the 2007 (and later to be 2009, 2010 and 2011) World Champion, Jean Daligault (chessandgo), and the rest of the Arimaa community playing collectively, known as "The Mob." Played at roughly one week per turn and extensively analyzed each move. This is probably the most famous game of Arimaa to-date. At the end of the hard-fought battle, The Mob emerged victorious.
