I always find your reviews valuable and well done, but I think there is a mistake in this one. The rules clearly state that the stronger dog pulls harder, pulling the sled in his direction. Your review illustrates the sled going the opposite way. A stronger dog on the left pulls the sled to the left.

Keep up the great reviews!

Thank you. Easier to learn a game from you then read rules in English...

Well I never even read the rules, but I think Tom's interpretation looks more logic: the sledge is turning, not sliding away.
Anyway, check the rules one more time. laugh

The BBC series is far better than the excellent NBC one. Now go watch it.

Tom's interpretation is more logical but it's probably also the reason he has trouble getting kids to understand drifting.

If you teach drifting the way the international version rulebook explains it I think kids will pick it up quicker.

The larger dog (number) pulls the sled toward his side.

This will also keep the color flags lined up properly. Red on the right and yellow on the left on the track and sled.
If you notice on the video you'll see that Tom's are reversed so that his "turning sled" moves toward the correct color.

Drift movement (or just “drifting”) of the sled is the
difference between the pulling power of the 2 dogs.
Drifting is a diagonal forward movement. The sled
drifts towards the dog pulling hardest. (e.g. a sled with
Canine Cards of 3-5 would cause a drift 2 to the right).
The brake value has no effect on drift.

I like the thematic skiing tie Tom has on to go with the game even though it appears the review was posted in summer.
