Part three of my three part rules primer. This part contains an overview of the game's systems, including bidding, contests, and crowning Conan.

Excellent three-part review, very well done.

Just one minor point regarding the use of strategy cards in contests. In this third video (around the 7 minute mark), when discussing military contests you mention that a strategy card can only be played if it shows the region in which the battle takes place and the terrain icon has to match. There is actually not such a double condition, though.

In military contests, only the terrain icon at the bottom of the strategy card is relevant, and this has to match the terrain currently occupied by the attacking unit on the campaign track in the province. (In a siege, which is when you are attacking another player's province, this is always the first icon on the province's campaign track.)

In intrigue contests, only the map in the centre of the strategy card is relevant, and has to show the region containing the province in which the intrigue contest takes place.

@Zippa...

Thanks for pointing that out! I remember thinking when I recorded that part that I needed to redo it and make it more detailed, clear, and accurate, but when I got around to editing I completely forgot.

In my Civ videos I skipped combat completely, because its something you're going to have to step through with the rulebook your first few times no matter how detailed the video gets.
